9 tm 2 ENFORCEMENT <br /> a. Right of EntrV~. Upon presentation of proper <br /> credentials, the Chief Building Inspector, <br /> or his duly appointed representative, may <br /> enter any building or structure or premises <br /> in order to perform any duty imposed by this <br /> ch apt er. <br /> b. Notice to Stop_ Work. Whenever any work is <br /> being done contrary to any law or ordinance <br /> enforced by the Chief Building Inspector or <br /> his duly appointed representative, he shall <br /> issue a notice to the responsible person to <br /> stop work on that portion of the work on which <br /> the violation has occurred. The notice shall <br /> state the nature of the violation and has been <br /> rectified and approval obtained from the Chief <br /> Building Inspector of his duly appointed re- <br /> presentative. <br /> c. R_ig.ht to Disconnect. The Chief Building In- <br /> spector or his duly appointed representative <br /> is hereby authorized to disconnect or order <br /> discontinuance of electric service to any <br /> electric wiring devices, appliances or equip- <br /> ment found to be in violation of this chapter <br /> under any of the following conditions: <br /> 1. Failure of the owner or his agent to <br /> secure the required electrical permit. <br /> 2. Hazardous electrical work found to be <br /> dangerous to life or property due to <br /> defective wiring, devices, appliances <br /> or equipment. <br /> 3- Electrical work connected to service <br /> without the approval of the Chief Build- <br /> ing Inspector or his duly appointed re- <br /> presentative. Any order issued pursuant <br /> to this section may be made either to the <br /> person using and maintaining the condi- <br /> tion or to the person responsible for its <br /> use and maintenance, and shall specify <br /> the date or time for compliance with its <br /> terms. <br /> <br /> 91-3 PERMITS <br /> a. Permits Required. No electric equipment re- <br /> gulated by this chapter shall be installed <br /> within or on any building, structure or pre- <br /> mises without first securing a permit therefor <br /> from the Chief Building Inspector, or his <br /> duly appointed representative,. A separate <br /> permit shall be obtained for each building or <br /> s t ruc t ure. <br /> b. To Whom Permits max be Issued. No permit <br /> shall be issued to any person to do, or cause <br /> to be done, any work regulated by this chapter <br /> except to a pers on holding a valid, unexpired, <br /> and unrevoked Electrical Contractor's License <br /> issued by the Contractor's State License Board <br /> of the State of California except when and as <br /> otherwise hereinafter provided in this section <br /> <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
