Board Action. <br /> 1. The board may affirm, reverse or modify the decision of the commission. <br /> 2. The decision of the board shall take effect immediately. (Ord. 1619 § 1, 1994; Ord. 1304 §§ 1, 2, <br /> 1987; Ord. 1298 § 5, 1987) <br /> 2.36.040 Maintenance of membership. - <br /> Persons appointed to the housing commission shall continue to serve as commissioners until: <br /> A. Expiration of the term; <br /> B. Voluntary resignation from the commission; <br /> C. The member is absent from one-third of the regular meetings as provided in Section 2.32.090 of <br /> this title. <br /> D. Removal from the office in accordance with Health and Safety Code Section 34282 by the mayor. <br /> (Ord. 1507 § 4, 1991; Ord. 1298 §§ 6, 7, 1987; Ord. 1217 § 1, 1985;prior code § 1-3.33.15) <br /> 2.36.050 Officers. <br /> The officers of the commission shall be a chairperson and a vice chairperson. <br /> A. Chairperson. The chairperson shall be liaison with the city council, press and individual <br /> commissioners. The chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the commission. <br /> B. Vice Chairperson. The vice chairperson shall perform the duties of the chairperson in the absence <br /> or incapacity of the chairperson, and in the case of the resignation or death of the chairperson,the vice <br /> chairperson shall perform such duties as are imposed on the chairperson until such time as the commission shall <br /> select a new chairperson. <br /> C. Additional Duties. The officers of the commission shall perform such other duties and functions as <br /> may be required by the board,the commission or the bylaws or rules and regulations of the authority. <br /> D. Election or Appointment. The chairperson and vice chairperson shall be elected by a majority vote <br /> at the annual meeting of the commission from among the commissioners of the authority, and shall hold office <br /> for one year or until their successors are elected and qualified. <br /> E. Vacancies. Should the offices of chairperson or vice chairperson become vacant, the commission <br /> shall elect a successor from its membership at the next regular meeting, and such election shall be for the unex <br /> pired terms of the office. (Ord. 1217 § I, 1985; prior code § 1-3.33.20) <br /> 2.36.060 Housing authority officers. <br /> A. Executive Director. The board of directors shall appoint an executive director. The executive <br /> director shall have general supervision over the administration of the housing authority's business and affairs, <br /> subject to the direction of the board, and shall be charged with the management of the housing projects of the <br /> housing authority. The executive director shall serve at the pleasure of the board. <br /> B. Secretary. The executive director shall serve as the executive secretary of the board.
