Page 2 <br /> Most of all, however, it is in our entire community's best interest stay the course and determine <br /> the future of the acreage that lies just east of our city limits in unincorporated Alameda County. <br /> There would be nothing to prevent the City of Livermore from reaching out to frustrated <br /> property owners and suggest annexation to Livermore. <br /> Working in good faith with property owners and other stakeholders to bring the property into <br /> Pleasanton is the very best way to meet community-wide objectives and safeguard our <br /> community against potentially adverse impacts if the acreage remains outside the City. <br /> One need look no farther than the City of San Ramon when it said no to Costco;they simply <br /> went across the street to the Town of Danville who embraced them and their substantial sales tax <br /> revenue, while San Ramon simply got the traffic. <br /> It is in all of Pleasanton's best interest to continue in good faith with its citizen volunteers and <br /> property owners to thoughtfully complete the east side plan.
