Residential (R) Districts : In areas designated for <br /> residential use, the permitted use shall be for low , <br /> medium or high density residential development con- <br /> sistent with the subdivisions and Planned unit <br /> • <br /> development standards of the City of Pleasanton . <br /> 3 . Public Uses : In areas so designated, public facilities <br /> permitted will include : Parks , recreation centers , <br /> fire and police stations , landscaped public ways , <br /> improved parking areas , flood control protection <br /> facilities , civic buildings and other facilities <br /> which serve the best interests of the residents of <br /> the City of Pleasanton . <br /> B . Principal Streets <br /> A layout of the principal streets is indicated on the <br /> attached Exhibit A. New streets , overcrossings , clover- <br /> ' leafs and vehicular and/or pedestrian bridges may be <br /> constructed. <br /> C. Population Densities <br /> There presently exists approximately 362 single-family <br /> residences and 9 multiple residences within the project <br /> area. Upon completion of the plan , population density <br /> for residential purposes within the project area may be <br /> increased to an average of approximately 4 . 7 dwelling <br /> units per acre for medium density areas and 15 dwelling <br /> units per acre for high density areas . <br /> D. Building Intensities <br /> It is proposed that all commercial , residential and other <br /> permitted uses throughout the project area shall meet <br /> the site regulations established or by the City of <br /> Pleasanton Ordinance Code , or by the final redevelopment <br /> plan approved and adopted by the City Council . <br /> E. Standards <br /> Minimum standards for the project area include locally <br /> accepted standards for structures , street layout and <br /> design , and land subdivision , all regulations and purposes <br /> of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California <br /> shall be complied with . <br /> SECTION V. CONFORMANCE WITH THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> The proposed redevelopment of the project area conforms to <br /> the tentatively approved General Plan provision for the City <br /> of Pleasanton , which is due for final adoption in mid 1975 , <br /> and (for the most part) conforms to the existing 1968 General <br /> Plan of the city . Differences do. exist between the existing <br /> General Plan and the tentatively approved General Plan but only <br /> in the arrangement of land uses in the regional shopping center <br /> -6- <br />
