Kimley-Horn will follow a structured QA/QC process that will be implemented throughout the life of the design project.We have designated a senior roadway engineer to perform independent reviews ahead of major submittals(100%, and Final). Sub-Task A:Prepare 75%Estimate At approximately the 75%design level, Kimley-Hom will submit the engineer's opinion of probable costs(OPCC)to the City for budgeting purposes. Plans and specifications will not be submitted under this effort. We assume 44 hours of effort for this sub-task to develop the 75% estimate, Deliverables: e 75% Opinion of Probable Construction Cost(PDF format) Sub-Task B:Prepare 100%PS&E Kimley-Hom will develop 100% plans, specifications, and estimates of probable construction cost. Plans will be prepared at a scale of 1"=20' (or other appropriate scale) in imperial unit format. Design will include horizontal and vertical layout of the proposed improvements. We assume that there will be no changes to the vertical design of the control line profile from the previous 90% design plans submitted to the City in 2008. Any changes to the vertical design will constitute additional services and upon authorization, can be performed on a time and materials basis. Underground utilities are assumed to remain in their present locations. No additional storm drain design is included except for connections to the existing storm drainage system and underdrain system under the swale. Some vertical adjustments to manhole and other utility covers or lids in the roadway and sidewalks may be necessary. As discussed with the City, no irrigation will be provided for the plants in the swale areas.
