Kimley>>>Horn
Concrete coring services to determine the composition, thickness, and reinforcing of existing concrete
slab within the roadway to be removed are not included in our scope of services and can be performed as
an additional service.
Kimley-Horn subconsultant, LCC, Inc.,will perform ground topographic survey at selected locations and
right-of-way mapping at the project location in Pleasanton, in the approximate location as described in the
Project Understanding to assist in the civil, traffic signal, utility, and signing and striping designs. It is
assumed that LCC will supplement the existing topographic survey with additional ground survey and
utilize the same horizontal and vertical control. The survey will not locate, set or reset any monuments.
Record of survey and boundary survey are specifically excluded from this scope of service.
Bellecci and Associates will update their joint trench and Form B design from 2011 as part of this
contract.
Task 3—Conceptual Design
Kim ley-Hom will provide conceptual design of the Stanley Boulevard improvements based on the City
Plan Line Markup dated December 2, 2014 and the comments received at the meeting on January 13,
2015. The design changes include the following:
-Increasing the proposed sidewalk width on both north and south sides from 4'to 6'due to street
being classified as an arterial.
-Reducing the north side parking lane from 8'to 7'.
-Increasing the north side bike lane from 5'to 6'.
-Reducing the north side vehicular travel lane from 14'to 13' between Stations 10+00 to19+50.
-Modifying the lane width around the new median island between Stations 25+60 to 26+75.
-Adding curb retum bulb outs on the north side of Stanley at Del Valle Court and Rachael Way.
Kimley-Hom will perform the Conceptual Design factoring in the existing conditions, recently constructed
improvements, the City's Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, and the proposed electrical
undergrounding work by Bellecci and Associates. Kimley-Horn will provide the Conceptual Design for
review by the City based on the above direction. Any minor changes requested by the City following
review will be considered and incorporated into the 100% PS&E package. Any additional changes or
concept revisions and submittals may be considered additional services.
We assume 74 hours of effort for this task. The Conceptual Design will be presented on exhibit sheets
that will include design annotation to aid in review and acceptance of the proposed conceptual design.
Proposed elevations and surfaces will not be fully designed at this level, but will be conceptually
considered for feasibility of proposed features.
Kimley-Hom will also coordinate the civil design with Bellecci and Associates on the location of the joint
trench, vaults, and other appurtenances related to the utility undergrounding project.
Deliverables:
• Three (3)full size (24"x 36") of the Conceptual Design
• One (1) large format plot of Conceptual Design in color
• Electronic(PDF)copy of Conceptual Design
Task 4—Plans,Specifications,& Estimates(PS&E)
Kimley-Hom will prepare plans, technical specifications, and engineer's opinion of probable costs based
on the City Approved Conceptual Design.
•`kimleyhorn coral 6150 Stoneridge Mall Road, Suite,200, Pleasanton -CA94588. 925 398 4840
2
