Geotechnical Observation&Testing and Special Inspection B5K Proposal GL14-11128 <br /> Bernal Community Park Phase 2 January 11, 2015 <br /> Pleasanton,CA Page 3 <br /> Scope of Services and Fee Arrangements <br /> Our anticipated scope of services and fee estimate listed below are based on part-time observation and <br /> testing services during construction as noted below. We will provide our services on a time and <br /> materials, and on-call basis in accordance with our current on-call services agreement (including our <br /> 2015 Fee Schedule). We will require 24-hour notice for scheduling our observation and testing visits. <br /> Note that for on-call services, we rely on the client or its representative (i.e., construction manager, <br /> contractor, etc.)to schedule our visits. <br /> • Plan review of final plans for general conformance to the geotechnical report and our <br /> supplemental letter; <br /> • Attendance by our project manager at a pre-construction meeting; <br /> • Observation and compaction testing of site grading and utilities installation; <br /> • Observation and compaction testing of retaining wall backfill; <br /> • Observation and compaction testing of select fill installation or lime-treatment of turf and <br /> flatwork subgrade; <br /> • Gradation testing of turf field drain rock; <br /> • Observation and testing during placement of aggregate base for paving and flatwork; <br /> • Observation of foundation excavations for new building, retaining walls, signage and <br /> landscaping structures; <br /> • Special Inspections and Materials Testing for reinforced concrete, masonry, welding, embedded <br /> anchors and structural steel construction; <br /> • Laboratory testing of soils,aggregate base,concrete and hot-mix asphalt pavement; <br /> • Engineering review, consultation, project management, site visits, and administration during <br /> construction. Includes review of daily field reports, review of proposed import soil test results <br /> (including analytical), response to RFIs and supplemental recommendations (if necessary) during <br /> construction;and <br /> • Pad acceptance letter, foundation acceptance letter, and brief final observation and testing <br /> summary letter for the City of Pleasanton. <br /> fSK <br />
