RESOLUTION NO. 15-736 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 08-234 TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT UNTIL APRIL 30, 2016 <br /> WHEREAS, in July, 2008 the City Council established the Committee on Energy and the <br /> Environment for an initial term of two years to advise it on energy and environmental issues, <br /> strategies, planning and protections and opportunities for conservation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the duties of the Committee include supporting the intent of the City's <br /> General Plan environmental goals, developing measurable energy strategies related to <br /> preservation, prudent use of natural resources, and other energy and water related matters; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee has projects under way as part of the Climate Action Plan <br /> development and implementation that will run through the next 12 month period; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee's term is ending and an additional 12 months extension is <br /> required to address activities now in progress; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee's members service will be extended an additional 12 months <br /> to complete the work that is now in progress; and <br /> WHEREAS, prior to this date, the City Council may reassess the Committee's agenda <br /> and consider limiting or extending the term as appropriate. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The term of the Committee on Energy and the Environment is extended <br /> for an additional year through April 30, 2016. <br /> SECTION 2. The Committee on Energy and the Environment shall hold its regular <br /> meetings every other month during this term. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 17, 2015. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of March <br /> 2015, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Narum, Olson, Pentin, Vice Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Mayor Thome <br /> Abstain: None <br /> aren Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Jonath ell, City Attorney y L� <br />
