THE CITY OF <br /> ZiNg =1n II 1 II nits I�r_ <br /> pLEASANTONO <br /> Sewer System Management Plan <br /> The Sanitary Sewer Management Plan, prepared by the Operations Services Department, outlines and <br /> documents the activities that the City utilizes to manage its wastewater collection system effectively. <br /> Effective management of a collection system includes: <br /> • Minimizing the number and impact of sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) <br /> • Providing adequate sewer capacity to convey peak flows, and <br /> • Maintaining and improving the condition of the collection system infrastructure to provide reliable <br /> service into the future. <br /> DOCUMENT ORGANIZATION <br /> This SSMP has been prepared by City of Pleasanton Department of Operations Services, Environmental <br /> Services Division staff in compliance with requirements of the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) pursuant to section 13267 of the California Water Code. <br /> The SSMP is intended to meet the requirements of both the RWQCB and the Statewide General Waste <br /> Discharge Requirements (GWDR). <br /> The SSMP includes eleven elements as listed below.
