Brochures are available throughout <br /> downtown and at many Tri-Valley hotels, Alameda County Fairgrounds and numerous Livermore <br /> Valley wineries. <br /> • Held Board Planning Retreats to review PDA Strategic Plan and make necessary changes to <br /> ensure the focus of the organization is in lock-step with the needs of our Downtown. <br /> • Continued to work with the Firehouse Arts Center on cross-promotion opportunities; the PDA is <br /> very focused on the success of the Firehouse and wants to help promote and support the theater <br /> as a cornerstone of downtown. <br /> • Continued to grow 1s`Wednesdays by the expansion of both the Art Block area and Farmers <br /> Market and the creation of the new family friendly Entertainment Garden. <br /> • Monitored the implementation and success of the Downtown Hospitality Guidelines. <br /> • Sent our monthly e-newsletter for members and a monthly Member to Member Promotions e- <br /> newsletter. <br /> • Distributed A Guide to Downtown Outdoor Displays, distributed to members and available at the <br /> City for new businesses. <br /> • Created opportunities for business networking with three membership mixers in February,June <br /> (partnering with the Chamber of Commerce) and November. <br /> • Held the PDA Installation Mixer at the Redcoats; highlights included installation of the 2014 <br /> Board of Directors, recognition of the departing directors and recognition of the 2013 quarterly <br /> NEAT award recipients. <br /> • Held the PDA's Annual Meeting(free for all members to attend) where the PDA Board provided a <br /> full review of 2013 for all PDA members in attendance. <br /> • Continued a proactive approach toward downtown vacancies by maintaining an inventory of <br /> potential tenants, assisting property owners in listing available properties and working with the <br /> city's Economic Development Director. Met with property owners, tenants, potential tenants <br /> and commercial agents.Additionally the PDA worked closely with the City to create a downtown <br /> "Wish List"that captures community feedback of what kind of businesses our residents and <br /> visitors would like to see in Downtown.This list is available for property owners, business <br /> owners, developers, etc. <br /> • The Parking Subcommittee, charged with finding ways to improve parking, continued to work <br /> with property owners on different parking strategies.The Parking Committee also created a full- <br /> color, downtown parking map which is downloadable from the PDA website and social media <br /> channels and also available in numerous downtown businesses. <br /> • Sent over 60 press releases that were picked up by numerous media outlets throughout the Bay <br /> Area. We experienced very high media pick up which included numerous articles and live on- <br /> camera interviews by ABC 7, Fox News, CBS 5 and TV30. <br /> • Continued to grow the Associate Member program, offered to Tri-Valley businesses not located <br /> in the downtown district, to over 200 members. <br /> • Continued to increase strategic alliances and collaborate with community Partners: Pleasanton <br /> Chamber of Commerce, Livermore Downtown Association, Firehouse Arts Center, Pleasanton <br /> Cultural Arts Foundation,Valley Humane Society, Museum on Main, Pleasanton Library, <br /> Pleasanton Heritage Association, Alameda County Fairgrounds, Livermore Valley Winegrowers <br /> Association,Tri-Valley Conservancy and Tri-Valley Convention &Visitors Bureau. <br /> • Assisted numerous downtown communities providing tours and information as well as sharing <br /> the success of our organization and our downtown. Our Executive Director was the guest speaker <br /> and facilitator for the Martinez Main Street Annual Meeting and she was also a session presenter <br /> at the 2014 California Main Street Alliance Annual Conference. <br /> • Received commendation for program achievements and recognized as both a California and <br /> National 2014 Main Street Community. <br /> 3 <br />
