Section 2. Article 1 (Adoption of Uniform Plumbing Code with Deletions <br /> and Modifications) Chapter 5 (Plumbing Code), Title II (Zoning and <br /> Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is <br /> hereby amended in its entirety as follows: <br /> <br /> Article 1 <br /> <br /> Adoption of Uniform Plumbing Code With Deletions and Modifications <br /> <br /> ~2-13.27 Adoption of Uniform Plumbing Code. There is hereby <br /> adopted by reference that certain code known as the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code, more particularly described below except such <br /> portions are hereinafter amended, modified or deleted, and <br /> the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if <br /> set out at length herein. <br /> <br /> Said Uniform Plumbing Code is the UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1979 <br /> Edition, published by the International Association of Plumb- <br /> ing and Mechanical Officials. Three (3) copies of this Uni- <br /> form Code are on file in the office of the City Clerk for use <br /> by the public. <br /> <br /> ~2-13.28 Amendments, Modifications, Additions to and Deletions <br /> from the Adopted Code. The Adopted Code is hereby changed <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Amendments or Modifications. <br /> <br /> 1. Whenever in the Adopted Code the words "Adminis- <br /> trative Authority" or "Assistant" are used, they <br /> shall mean the Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development of the City of Pleasanton or his agent. <br /> <br /> 2. Section 20.7 - Cost of Permit. A fee for each <br /> plumbing permit shall be paid to the City prior <br /> to issuance of the permit. Such fee shall not <br /> relieve any persons from fully complying with the <br /> requirements of this Code in the execution of the <br /> work nor from any other penalties prescribed by <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br /> b. Additions. <br /> <br /> 1. Subsections g, h, and i are hereby added to Section <br /> 1101 to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (g) Every building sewer installed shall have a <br /> backflow protection device installed in the <br /> sewer lateral serving that individual build- <br /> ing. The backflow protection device may <br /> consist of either an atmospheric valve or <br /> backwater valve installation as approved by <br /> the Building Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
