All defects shall be corrected within ten (10) days <br /> after inspection and notification, or within other <br /> reasonable time as permitted by the Chief Building <br /> Inspector or his duly appointed representative. <br /> <br /> Preliminary approval may be issued authorizing the <br /> connection and use of certain specific portions of <br /> an incompleted installation; such certificate shall <br /> be revocable at the discretion of the Chief Building <br /> Inspector or his duly appointed representative. <br /> <br /> When any part of a wiring installation is to be <br /> hidden from view by the permanent placement of <br /> parts of the building, the person, firm or <br /> corporation installing the wiring shall notify <br /> the Chief Building Inspector or his duly appointed <br /> representative and such parts of the wiring instal- <br /> lation shall not be concealed until they have been <br /> inspected and approved by the Chief Building Inspec- <br /> tor or his duly appointed representative, provided <br /> that on large installations where the concealment <br /> of parts of the wiring proceeds continuously, the <br /> person, firm or corporation installing the wiring <br /> shall give the Chief Building Inspector or his duly <br /> appointed respresentative due notice, and inspections <br /> shall be made periodically during the progress of <br /> the work. The Chief Building Inspector shall have <br /> the power to remove, or require the removal of any <br /> obstruction that prevents proper inspection of any <br /> electrical equipment. <br /> <br /> At least once in each calendar month the Chief <br /> Building Inspector or his duly appointed repre- <br /> sentative shall visit all premises where work <br /> has been done under annual permits and shall <br /> inspect all electric wiring, devices, appliances <br /> and equipment installed under such a permit <br /> since the date of his last previous inspections, <br /> and shall issue a certificate of approval for <br /> such work as is found to be in conformity with <br /> the provisions of this chapter after the fee <br /> required has been paid. <br /> <br />91-6 CONNECTION TO INSTALLATION. <br /> <br /> Except where work is done under Maintenance <br /> Electricians' permit it shall be unlawful for any <br /> person, firm or corporation to make connection <br /> from a source of electrical energy or to supply <br /> electric service to any electric wiring, devices, <br /> appliances or equipment for the installation of <br /> which a permit is required, unless such person, <br /> firm or corporation shall have obtained a certi- <br /> ficate of approval issued by the Chief Building <br /> Inspector or his duly appointed representative. <br /> <br /> 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
