City of Pleasanton <br /> Phase 1A Recycled Water Distribution System Design Final Draft <br /> Subtask 3.6: Utility Potholing <br /> Consultant shall obtain advanced concurrence from City prior to proceeding with potholing work. <br /> Consultant shall prepare a pothole plan based on the preliminary 50% plans. The proposed potholing <br /> would focus on larger pipeline segments, large diameter existing pipelines, critical existing pipelines and <br /> intersections. Once approved by the City, Consultant's potholing subconsultant shall excavate up to 50 <br /> potholes to locate existing utilities and buried infrastructure both horizontally and vertically. Each <br /> pothole will be backfilled with excavated material and capped with grout. Pothole data will be developed <br /> using subconsultant's standard data format. Results will be incorporated into the project drawings in <br /> tabular format,with a depiction of horizontal location on the pipeline plan views. <br /> Subtask 3.6 Assumptions: <br /> • City will waive fees for potholing encroachment permit <br /> • Pothole patching in roadways and hardscape areas will be temporary in accordance with City <br /> standards (assume 6 inches of aggregate base capped with 2 inches of cold patch asphaltic <br /> concrete) <br /> Subtask 3.6 Deliverables: <br /> • Utility potholing reports(.pdf via email)and data incorporated into Task 5 deliverables <br /> Subtask 3.7: Plats and Legal Descriptions <br /> Consultant's surveying subconsultant shall prepare up to one plat and legal description for a permanent <br /> easement on DSRSD Biosolids Facility or Wastewater Treatment Plan property for the Pleasanton supply <br /> turnout and control valve station. The plat and legal description shall be prepared for purposes of <br /> easement acquisition and recording. The plat and legal descriptions shall be prepared in accordance with <br /> local and State requirements under the direction of a California licensed Professional Land Surveyor and <br /> shall be sealed and signed by same. <br /> Subtask 3.7 Assumptions: <br /> • Up to one easement parcel will be needed for the turnout control valve facilities <br /> Subtask 3.7 Deliverables: <br /> • Draft and final plat and legal description(.pdf via email) <br /> TASK 4: TITLE 22 ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> Consultant shall develop the Title 22 Engineer's Report in accordance with the Department of Public <br /> Health (DPH) Guidelines for the Preparation of an Engineering Report for the Production, Distribution <br /> and Use of Recycled Water (March 2001) and with the Water Reuse Program technical report <br /> requirements from the San Francisco Bay RWQCB General Waste Discharge Requirements Water Reuse <br /> Order (Order 96-011) or the Statewide General Order for Recycled Water Use (Order WQ 2014-0090- <br /> DWG), whichever the RWQCB deems to be the permitting mechanism for this project. Consultant shall <br /> work with the City to develop a strategy to achieve permitting under Order 90-011. <br /> As the City of Pleasanton will use recycled water from the DSRSD and City of Livermore,a two-chapter <br /> Engineer's Report for recycled water use will be developed— one chapter on distribution and a second <br /> chapter on use areas. For the purposes of this scope, the development of the Recycled Water Program to <br /> support recycled water Users (Customers) is assumed to borrow/reuse available resources from other <br /> agencies. Revisions requested or required by the RWQCB to the Title 22 recycled water use program <br /> materials developed by the City will be made by the City. <br /> Task 4 Assumptions: <br /> • City is developing recycled water use program materials consistent with the requirements of Title <br /> 22 <br /> Scope of Work RevS Page 7 of 17 <br /> August 20,2014 <br />
