The focus is on east Pleasanton and a <br /> discussion of our property is timely. <br /> • Kiewit again travels to Pleasanton (April or May, 2006) and meets with a local civil <br /> engineer to review site planning issues. We also meet with Altamont Commuter <br /> Express to discuss transit oriented development opportunities including the possible <br /> location of an east Pleasanton station on the Kiewit parcel. <br /> • On July 12, 2006, Kiewit visits Pleasanton and organizes and presents in a meeting <br /> to Zone 7 Water Agency and the Pleasanton school district. The topic pertains to a <br /> cooperative planning goal for Pleasanton's east side. During the visit, we also meet <br /> with City Manager, Mr. Nelson Fialho and his staff regarding the General Plan <br /> update. Mr. Fialho supports a Specific Plan for East Pleasanton and in a follow-up <br /> letter dated July 24, 2006 suggests that a Specific Plan could not be completed until <br /> the General Plan is updated. At that time, Mr. Fialho indicates that the General Plan <br /> is expected to be adopted in the summer of 2007. <br /> 2007 - 2009 <br /> • The General Plan update continues in 2007, 2008 and is finally adopted in 2009. <br /> Kiewit attends various meetings and workshops to continue its participation in the <br /> process and provide for our property's future uses. At or about the end of the <br /> approval process, an affordable housing advocate group challenges many of <br /> Pleasanton's long held polices including parts of the General Plan update. In <br /> particular, the Housing Element is contested. <br /> 2010 <br /> • During April 2010, Kiewit meets with the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce <br /> President regarding east side planning matters. <br /> • On September 22, 2010, Kiewit meets with City Manager Fialho, Assistant City <br /> Manager Steve Bocian, and Planning Director Brian Dolan to review property <br /> planning activities. City Manager Fialho recommends full participation in the <br /> upcoming Housing Element process such that the Kiewit property will be considered <br /> as a candidate to meet the City's Housing Element challenges. It is recommended <br /> that a local Kiewit consultant be retained to effectively participate in the process. <br /> 2011 <br /> • During early 2011, Kiewit hires PCJ Real Estate Advisors, LLC as its representative <br /> for the planning process of its property within the context of the Housing Element <br /> plan. <br /> • Kiewit and its consultants actively participate in the Housing Element update process <br /> throughout the year. <br /> 2 <br />
