"EXHIBIT A" <br /> Kiewit's Pleasanton, California Property <br /> Land Use Planning Activities <br /> 2003 <br /> • Kiewit begins discussions in 2003 with Pleasanton Planning Director, Mr. Brian <br /> Swift, about the Pleasanton General Plan update and the impact on Kiewit's land (49 <br /> acres along Busch Road in east Pleasanton). In a July 2003 meeting with Mr. Swift, <br /> the planning process is discussed and Kiewit requests information on how it can <br /> participate in the process as it pertains to our land. Kiewit follows-up with a <br /> September 18, 2003 letter to Mr. Swift that addresses future land uses and includes <br /> a discussion of changes from the current industrial operations to a future multi-use <br /> lard plan. <br /> • During the summer of 2003, Kiewit makes a decision to relocate its precast <br /> operations in Pleasanton to its Antioch property. This is completed over the next two <br /> years. Kiewit's contractor yard operations continue in Pleasanton. <br /> 2004 <br /> • Kiewit again meets with Mr. Swift on April 2, 2004 to discuss the General Plan <br /> update and plans for future uses on the Kiewit parcel. <br /> • Kiewit attends a Planning Commission meeting on April 22, 2004. During the public <br /> hearing, we present a history of our property and propose a conversion to a higher <br /> and better use. Workshops addressing General Plan matters continue for the <br /> remainder of the 2004 and into 2005. <br /> 2005 <br /> • General Plan Workshops. <br /> • On June 29, 2005, Kiewit meets with Planning Director, Mr. Jerry Iserson, to review <br /> the status of General Plan update. Work has continued on the update. Mr. Iserson <br /> also indicates a Specific Plan maybe be possible for planning uses in East <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> • Kiewit meets with Planning Director Jerry Iserson on December 21, 2005 along with <br /> Janice Stern of the Planning Department. <br /> 2006 <br /> • Kiewit attends and participates in a January 2006 workshop that pertains to the <br /> General Plan with a specific focus on eastside properties and their related future <br /> 1 <br />
