• Kiewit meets with Planning Director Dolan on December 6, 2011 regarding its
property (site #11 in the Housing Element) and its position vis-a-vis the other
considered sites for the preferred Housing Element locations. Kiewit participates
and presents in the workshop with respect to Housing Element during an evening
meeting on the same date.
2012- 2013
• The Housing Element is approved during January 2012 but the Kiewit site is
removed from consideration based upon a prior City commitment that the Kiewit site
should be included in an East Pleasanton Specific Plan. Kiewit meets with City
Manager Fialho and Planning Director Dolan on January 26, 2012 to discuss
planning activities going forward. City Manager Fialho indicates the Council will
consider starting the East Pleasanton Specific Plan process and he will support it.
City Manager Fialho advances the process during the spring of 2012 and East
Pleasanton Specific Plan Task Force is authorized by the City Council during the
summer of 2012.
• The East Pleasanton Specific Plan taskforce is organized and monthly meetings are
held from the fall of 2012 until the present. Kiewit's consultant, PCJ Real Estate
Advisors, LLC's principle, Mr. Costanzo, is an active participant and attends all of the
task force meetings. Kiewit managers travel from Omaha for a number of the task
force meetings.
• Council approves moving forward with a Draft EIR for the Preferred Plan and many
alternatives.
