COMMUNITY OUTREACH
PMC will coordinate with the City to plan and execute public outreach
events and hearings to engage the community throughout the process. We
are prepared to work closely with the City to solidify a public outreach
program that effectively engages Pleasanton's diverse stakeholders to gather
and respond to community concerns, particularly those from groups and
individuals representing segments of the community with special housing
needs.
We suggest an outreach program that includes public meetings, focus group
meetings, stakeholder consultations, and multiple Housing Commission,
Planning Commission and City Council meetings. In addition, PMC will
provide web-ready information for the project website that makes Housing
Element information and materials available to the public throughout the
project. The outreach program will be led by our outreach specialist,Andrea
Nelson.Andrea is highly adept at crafting specialized outreach programs
that meet the unique needs of each community. More information about
Andrea's public facilitation is available in the Project Team subsection and
on her resume in the appendix.
LOCAL EXPERIENCE
Our approach to the Housing Element update reflects our experience
developing plans and implementing programs in Alameda County. PMC is
currently providing Housing Element implementation and housing
program assistance in Dublin and is updating the 5th round Housing
Element in the City of Alameda.
Our knowledge of Pleasanton,Alameda County, and the Bay Area will
allow us to "hit the ground running" and focus quickly on what needs to be
updated.
® r,' .
