Mr. Rasmussen clarified that multi-use fields would be considered. <br /> Mr. Fialho noted that the recommendation is to keep the field use as flexible as possible. <br /> Mr. Thome noted that current fields are used for several sports. <br /> Mr. Brozosky asked about the placement of lighting on the fields. <br /> Mr. Fialho noted that it was more an issue about the dimensions of the fields. <br /> It was moved by Mr. Thorne, and seconded by Ms. McGovern, to adopt Resolution <br /> 06-035, certifying the Final EIR for the Phase II Bernal Property Specific Plan and the <br /> Bernal Community Park Master Plan;to adopt Resolution 06-036 approving the CEOA <br /> Findings and Statement of Overriding Considerations,approving the Phase II Bemal <br /> Property Specific Plan with the following changes: (a)to remove childcare uses in sub <br /> area 6; (b)to include park and recreational uses in sub area 2; and(c)to remove "to and <br /> from school" concerning the pedestrian and bike access as a high priority; and <br /> approving the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan; and to adopt Resolution 06-037, <br /> approving the Bernal Community Park Master Plan. <br /> The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers — Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne and Mayor <br /> Hostermn <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAINED: None <br /> Mr. Thome publicly thanked the many task forces that spent a lot of time working on the <br /> Bernal project and further thanked Wayne Rasmussen and MD Fotheringham for their time and <br /> effort and Greenbriar Homes for donating the land to the City of Pleasanton. <br /> 6b <br /> Review of Bids and Award of Contract for Kottinaer Creek Restoration Proiect CIP No. <br /> 038023 (SR 06:144) <br /> Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works, presented the staff report. <br /> Mr. Brozosky commented on a previous estimate of$65,000 and asked for clarification <br /> on what had changed. <br /> Mr. Wilson stated that the original plan did not restore and replant the area; it was only a <br /> maintenance project; later the Council decided to change the scope of the work from <br /> maintenance to restoration. <br /> Mr. Brozosky commented on the change to the hydrology and stability during restoration. <br /> Mr. Wilson clarified that most of the water comes from a release from the retention <br /> basins. Water will be rerouted during construction and construction will occur during the <br /> summer.
