Mr. Brozosky supported art elements. <br /> Mayor Hosterman supported art elements. <br /> Mr. Sullivan supported the issue, but wants natural features to be emphasized. <br /> Ms. McGovern agreed. <br /> Mayor Hosterman addressed the summary of master plan issues <br /> Northwestern portion of Community Park, from sub area 1, site of potential cultural arts center: <br /> Ms. McGovern stated that she does not want it to be too sectioned up, she does not <br /> want too many roads. <br /> Mr. Brozosky agreed with Ms. McGovern; he was not in favor of adding more lights on <br /> Bernal. <br /> Mayor Hosterman asked if this was a potential ingress and egress issues, not another <br /> road, but a driveway. <br /> Mr. Thome commented that it is important to preserve the land <br /> Mr. Sullivan commented that they should not over design so as not to increase the <br /> streets and traffic too much. He would like to live within some constraints. <br /> Mayor Hosterman asked if the driveway make a negative impact to the arts center. <br /> Mr. Fialho recommended flexibility; not to close it off, therefore, if it is needed in the <br /> future then is it available. <br /> Mr. Brozosky noted his concem about an extra road replacing natural areas; he <br /> discouraged more asphalt. He said that the voters are not voting on circulation, they are voting <br /> on land use. <br /> Mayor Hosterman asked the Council about reserving land or not. <br /> Mr. Brozosky stated that he does not want to reserve the land, but to include the <br /> possibility. <br /> Mr. Fialho commented that the language could state not to preclude the possibility a <br /> second access point to sub area 1 was not precluded. <br /> Mayor Hosterman asked the Council to comment on a football or Lacrosse field. <br /> Mr. Rasmussen clarified that they would have to find a place to put this, if it was desired. <br /> Ms. McGovem asked why fields can't be used for several sports such as lacrosse, <br /> soccer, and football. Why can't the fields be used for different sports at different times of the <br /> year? She would like to see varied use.
