The City of Pleasanton August 13, 2013 Page 8 • Topographic survey map. • Final geotechnical report. 3.0 Detailed Design This task has been revised based on discussions with the City. 3.1 Design Criteria Memorandum: With assistance from the City, Carollo will gather and review existing data, drawings, and other information related 10 the project. Working with City staff, Carollo will evaluate and finalize the following key design elements and summarized in a memorandum: • Number and size of pumps. • Discharge force main routing. Note it is assumed the force main will connect to the Pleasanton Junction Structure and be routed with the DSRSD Dublin Trunk. • Brief review of pre-cast vs. cast in place type wet well structures, the review will estimate the cost and lifespan of each type of facility. • Electrical single-line diagram and P&ID. • Brief review of alternatives to install a macerator in the purip station wet well. Carollo will prepare a draft Design Criteria Memo (DCM)to docurr ent the selected design criteria and decisions made on various issues based on the above work and evaluations. The DCM will become the basis for the detailed design. The draft DCM will be finalized after review and incorporation of comments 'rom the City. Deliverables: • Design Criteria Memo. 3.2 Pump Station and Pipeline Final Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimate: Carollo will prepare the necessary specifications and CAD drawings for the general, civil, architectural, mechanical, structural, electrical, and i,strumentation requirements for the project. Final plans and specifications will be based on the final DCM, City's design guide, and Carollo's standards. The City will prepare the front end specifications and Carollo will prepare the technical specifications in the 16-section CSI format. Drawings wil be prepared on standard 22-inch by 34-inch drawing sheets. Carollo will submit plans and specifications to the City at 50 percent and 100- percent completion points for review and approval. The 100 percent submittal will include applicable comments from the 50% design submittal.
