natural vegetation, an asphalt and decomposed granite pathway/trail system, three
pedestrian foot bridges over drainage channels, pathway lighting, a storm water
detention pond that will serve a portion of the Bernal Community Phase II park storm
water requirements, interpretative and area signage, and potentially drinking fountains
near key entry points. The estimated park and Oak Woodlands budget is included as
Attachment 2.
DISCUSSION
Because Harris Design is fully engaged in the Bernal Community Park project that
includes components of the Oak Woodland area and because of the significant
integration needed between the two, staff determined that amending Harris Design's
scope of work was the most cost effective and productive way to proceed with the Oak
Woodland area. The proposed fee schedule and scope of work is consistent with
current industry fees and staff has been satisfied with the work completed by Harris
Design to date. Staff anticipates that all work, including services related to the First
Amendment, will be completed to allow for project bidding in spring 2014.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved y:
Lvcs
Steven B clan 6,Emily Wagner Nelson Fialho
Assistant City Manager Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
