Ordinance No. 1886 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />A dwelling unit occupying a separate, legal lot or parcel (example: a <br />detached single family home or paired or attached single-family <br />home); <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />A primary dwelling unit located on the same site as a second unit <br />whether the second unit is detached or attached to the primary unit, <br />but a second unit meeting the requirements in Chapter 18.06 is not <br />considered a single-family dwelling unit; <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />A dwelling unit which is part of a structure containing no more than <br />two (2) dwelling units where both dwelling units are located on the <br />same parcel of land (examples: duplexes, duets). <br /> <br />b. "Multiple-family dwelling unit" shall mean: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />A dwelling unit which is part of a larger structure including three (3) <br />or more units and which does not occupy its own separate or <br />individual lot or parcel; <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />A dwelling unit which is part of a larger structure including three (3) <br />or more units which occupies its own separate or individual lot or <br />parcel, and which is separated from adjacent units by a building wall <br />extending from ground to roof (example: townhomes); <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />A dwelling unit which is part of a larger structure including two (2) <br />or more units which may be owned separately (but does not occupy <br />ground space), and which is separated from adjacent units by a <br />building wall extending from floor to ceiling (example: <br />condominiums); or <br /> <br />Mobile homes in which two (2) or more units are located on the <br />same parcel of land (example: mobile homes located in mobile home <br />or trailer parks in which the land is owned in common by a single <br />owner). <br /> <br />Remainder of Section 19.44.040, no changes. <br /> <br />Section 19.44.120, "Exemptions," of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is amended <br />to include the following provisions: <br /> <br />The provisions of this Chapter do not apply to a second unit meeting the <br />requirements in Chapter 18.06. <br /> <br /> <br />
