Park dedication fees are limited to projects related to acquiring parkland. A total of $6.669,923 <br />is included in the four years of the CIP to establish a reserve to acquire land for new community <br />park(s). Specific location of the park(s) has not yet been determined. <br /> <br />A total of $650,000 is included in FY 2003-04/2004-05 to augment an existing reserve of <br />$890,000 for the acquisition of a park in south Pleasanton. Staff is currently evaluating potential <br />sites for this park. <br /> <br />· A total of $425,000 is included in FY 2003-04 to provide additional funding to the Val Vista <br /> Park to address a modification to park elements and to address unforeseen costs. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />The CIP includes $100,000 annually to augment the existing reserve of $900,000 for downtown <br />parking improvements. Improvements could include improvements to the Alameda County <br />Transportation Corridor and will be implemented in cooperation with the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Association. <br /> <br />A total of $7,565,000 is included in this CIP as part of the Bemal property improvements reserve. <br />It is anticipated that this reserve will be used to fund future projects on the Bemal property. The <br />current reserve is estimated at $I .440,000. <br /> <br />The City Hall office building and Civic Center site improvement reserve is currently at <br />approximately $5,500,000. This CIP includes an additional $4.830,000 over the next four years <br />to be added to this reserve. <br /> <br />$300,000 is included in FY 2003-04 to construction rest rooms in Delucci Park. The <br />construction of rest rooms is a high priority for City Commissions. <br /> <br />The CIP includes a total of $1,200,00 in funding over the next four years to fund Downtown <br />Specific Plan improvement projects. This funding is in addition to an existing reserve of <br />$200,000. As staff more fully develops projects as part of the Downtown Specific Plan, <br />recommendations will be made regarding funding specific projects from this reserve. <br /> <br />With the relocation of Fire Station #4 from Railroad Avenue to the Bemal property, the City will <br />begin the process of programming a new use for the current Railroad Avenue building. To <br />facilitate this project, the CIP includes $2,000,000. of which $500,000 is included in FY 03-04, <br />to fund this project. The exact scope of the project will be determined following the completion <br />of a Master Plan which will begin in FY 03-04. <br /> <br />As indicated above, Fire Station #4 will be relocating from Railroad Avenue to the Bemal <br />property. The CIP includes $1,100,000 to augment an existing reserve of $2,200,000 for this <br />project. The project is currently in the final design phase with construction scheduled to begin in <br />FY 2003-04. <br /> <br />xviii <br /> <br /> <br />
