A total of $300,000 is included in FY 2003-04 to fund the Kottinger Creek restoration project. <br />The specific scope of this project will not be determined until review of a consultant's study by <br />the City Council. However, it is anticipated that work will begin on this project next in FY 2003- <br />04. <br /> <br />The CIP includes debt service for the Happy Valley open space/golf course. These are the first <br />payments for the project bonds that were issued in May 2003. Total cost of the debt service for <br />the term of this CIP is $5,250,480. <br /> <br />City Commission's and the City Council have identified the renovation of the Veterans Memorial <br />Building on Main Street as a high priority project. As a result, $1.800.000 is included in <br />FY 2003-04 for this project. Including an existing reserve, approximately $2.9 is available for <br />this project. Staff anticipates beginning the project design phase in FY 2003-04. <br /> <br />WATER <br /> <br />· The CIP includes $200,000 over FY 2003-04 - FY 2004-05 for pressure reducing valve <br /> improvements in hillside areas above Foothill Road. <br /> <br />The Vineyard Corridor Specific Plan anticipates water infrastructure improvements including a <br />water tank, water lines and pump station vault to provide adequate water to new development <br />projected for this area. $2,735.000 is included in FY 2003-04 for this project. This amount is in <br />addition to an existing project reserve of $1.150,000 for a total project cost of $3,885.000. <br /> <br />$200,000 is included annually for the replacement of polybutylene service laterals and irrigation <br />lines throughout the City. These lines have created significant maintenance problems and as a <br />result, a replacement program began approximately five years ago. <br /> <br />SEWER <br /> <br />A total of $600,000 is included over the four years of the CIP to supplement an existing reserve <br />of $550,000 for development of the East Amador relief line pump station. Total pump station <br />costs are currently being developed. <br /> <br />$145,000 is included in FY 2003-04 to install a sewer line on Vervais Street. Staff anticipates <br />contacting residents on this street to determine their interest in connecting to the sewer. In <br />addition, staff is evaluating the cost related to renovating the City's single-family residence on <br />Vervais Street for rental to a Iow-income household. In the event that renovation costs are <br />excessive and residents not willing to participate in this project, it is anticipated that this project <br />will be removed from the CIP. <br /> <br />· A total of $1,200,000 is included during the four years of the CIP for annual sanitary sewer main <br /> replacement and improvement projects at various locations as determined by City staff. <br /> <br />xix <br /> <br /> <br />
