Provide $175,000 in additional funding for removal of the old bridge foundation at the Arroyo de <br />la Laguna at Bemal. The new budget is $300,000. <br /> <br />Provide $55,000 to replace the curb, gutter and street resurfacing of Haleakala Court. This court <br />is in disrepair and is used as an entryway to the Arroyo Mocho Canal. <br /> <br />The CIP includes a total of $650,000 to replace curb and gutters as part of street resurfacing <br />projects. First year fimding is $125,000 escalating to $200,000 in year four of the CIP. <br /> <br />$300,000 is included to complete the undergrounding of street lights and laterals at First and <br />Kottinger. The First and Kottinger area is one of last sections on First Street requiring <br />undergrounding. <br /> <br />A total of $200,000 is included over the four years of the CIP for neighborhood traffic calming <br />devices which will be installed in cooperation with neighborhood groups. It is anticipated, that <br />the cost of these projects will be offset by neighborhood contributions. <br /> <br />$40,000 is included as additional funding to a project reserve of $275,000 for the reconstruction <br />of Pleasanton Avenue from Rose Avenue to Division Street. This project is anticipated to be <br />completed in FY 2003-04. <br /> <br />$260,000 is included in FY 2003-04 as additional funding to a reserve of $996,000 for the <br />reconstruction of Second Street from Kottinger to Neal Street. <br /> <br />A total of $480,000 is included as part of the City's annual sidewalk and intersection ramp <br />program. <br /> <br />$190,000 is included as additional funding for existing project reserve of $752,750 for Stanley <br />Boulevard and Valley Avenue/Bemal Avenue widening. <br /> <br />The CIP also includes $300,000 annually beginning in FY 2004-05 for the installation of new <br />traffic signals at various locations. This annual funding should pay for approximately two traffic <br />signals per year. Staff will provide Council with information regarding the specific signal <br />locations prior to their installation. <br /> <br />PARKS <br /> <br />$500,000 is included in FY 2003-04 as the final funding phase for development of the Alviso <br />Adobe Park. Total project reserves are estimated at approximately $3,000.000. <br /> <br />In anticipation of the development of the Bemal Community Park, $2,335,000 is included during <br />the first two years of the CIP for this project. As a result, it is estimated that a total of $4,448,714 <br />will be available by end of FY 2004-05 to cover the initial phase of park development. <br /> <br />xvii <br /> <br /> <br />
