• One (1) Youth Commissioner <br /> • Two (2) Youth Sports Organization Board Members (1 Field Based Youth Sport <br /> & 1 Non-Field Based Youth Sport) <br /> • One (1) Senior Advisory Committee Board Member <br /> • One (1) Pleasanton Unified School District Representative <br /> • One (1) Pleasanton Downtown Association Representative <br /> • One (1) YMCA Representative <br /> • One (1) Other Local Service Provider (Lifetime Tennis, CourseCo, East Bay <br /> Regional Park District, Alameda County Fairgrounds, Adaptive/Special <br /> Populations, etc...) <br /> The Parks and Recreation Commission, Civic Arts Commission, Human Services <br /> Commission and Youth Commission representatives will be selected from their <br /> respective memberships. The other advisory groups and/or organizations will each <br /> select a representative. <br /> Following completion of the above appointments, staff will forward the City Council the <br /> appointments for its ratification. <br /> Public Process Summary <br /> In addition to planned Committee activity and meetings, there will be significant <br /> opportunities for public input, including discussions with City advisory groups and <br /> stakeholders. Some of this process includes: <br /> • Executive Interviews: Face-to-face interviews with selected stakeholders such <br /> as key City personnel, community leaders, school district personnel, etc., to <br /> gain valuable perspective regarding needs, expectations and current <br /> conditions. <br /> • Sports Organizations Questionnaires: The purpose of the questionnaire will be to <br /> solicit the attitudes and perceived needs of recreation facilities as viewed by <br /> user groups in the City. <br /> • Community-wide Telephone Survey: Conducting a statistically reliable survey of <br /> approximately 300 residents estimated to be 12 minutes in length with the goal <br /> of achieving a +/- 7.1% margin of error with a 95% confidence level. <br /> • Three (3) Public Workshops: The workshops are intended to be organized as <br /> follows: <br /> o Community Workshop #1: Present the Master Plan process and focus <br /> on what the public sees as community recreation characteristics, issues, <br /> and current opportunities and constraints to address the community's <br /> issues. <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
