Opinions of Probable Construction Cost prepared by GATES are approximate only and do <br /> not take into account future market conditions or contractor's bidding methods. GATES <br /> has no control over costs of labor, materials or equipment and GATES estimates cannot be <br /> guaranteed. <br /> E. GATES is not responsible for means, methods, sequences, techniques and procedures of <br /> construction or for safety precautions associated with construction. <br /> F. Regarding the grading and drainage, if is assumed to remain as existing. No modifications to <br /> grading and drainage are included with this contract. <br /> G. GATES and BKF understands an irrigation controller has already been installed, and the <br /> irrigation service for these improvements has been stubbed. No new service (electrical, <br /> telephone, water) will be needed or provided on this project. Services shall be extended <br /> from the intersection of El Charro Road and Jack London Boulevard to the project site. <br /> Irrigation sleeves are assumed as existing requiring no modifications to the el Charro off- <br /> ramp pavement. <br /> I L The Temporary Construction Water Pollution Control Plan assumes the following: <br /> - The project will not involve grading or clearing or grubbing, and the disturbed soil area <br /> (DSA) is limited to planting areas (holes) only,irrigation trenches and will be less than 1 acre. <br /> - BKF will prepare specifications that will make the Contractor responsible for complying <br /> with the City of Pleasanton erosion control ordinance, including documentation. If the <br /> disturbed soil area is greater than 1 acre, Contractor will be responsible to prepare a formal <br /> SWPPP,including any possible project registration requirements through the Regional Water <br /> Quality State Board and its QSP/QSD registration requirements. <br /> - PS&E will include a temporary construction water pollution control plan, details, and <br /> quantities,in compliance with City's C6 Section of their Permit(based on 1999 State Permit, <br /> pre- QSP/QSD Requirements, per Caltrans recommendations for projects less than 1 acre <br /> DSA). <br /> I. GATES will assist City with supporting documents (graphics/ maps) needed for the <br /> preparation maintenance agreement; it is assumed that Cakrans will prepare the actual <br /> agreement. <br /> J. GATES will assist City with the encroachment permit application process through Caltrans. <br /> It is assumed the PS&E will undergo standard Caltrans review and be routed through the <br /> various District functional units through the encroachment permit process. <br /> K. Plans will be provided in the proper MicroStation Caltrans layering/plotting system required <br /> at closeout. <br />
