MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> June 19, 2012 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Mayor Hosterman lead <br /> the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: Councilmember Sullivan <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported that the Council met in Closed Session on two items. With regards to a <br /> Worker's Compensation case involving William Walsh, the Council took no action that could be <br /> disclosed at this time. The Council also met with labor negotiators regarding the Firefighters' <br /> Association; no reportable action was taken. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho stated that Item 18 was pulled from the agenda. He reported that Item 6 is <br /> technically a public hearing and that the public hearing must be opened and closed prior to any action <br /> on the Consent Calendar. <br /> Councilmember McGovern asked to pull Item 2 for discussion. She reported receiving several inquiries <br /> from parties interested in running but concerned about the cost to do so. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes May 15, 2012 <br /> 2. Moved to the regular meeting for discussion — Adopt a resolution calling the November 6, <br /> 2012 General Municipal Election; a resolution requesting consolidation with the Statewide <br /> General Election; and a resolution amending the regulations for candidate statements to include <br /> additional required languages <br /> City Attorney <br /> 3. Authorized the City Attorney to enter into on behalf of City of Pleasanton with County of Alameda <br /> certification and mutual indemnification agreement relating to collection of taxes, assessments <br /> and fees through secured property tax bills <br /> City Manager <br /> 4. Approved the write-off of $31,175 in uncollectable account receivable from the City Down <br /> Payment Assistance Program <br /> Community Development <br /> 5. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />
