Invitation to Bid on "As Needed Services" <br /> performed at any of the City's water, sewer and storm facilities located throughout the City <br /> and portable generators owned by the City. <br /> All Contractors' employees shall comply with all Federal, State, and local laws and <br /> regulations governing the installation and testing of emergency generators and components. <br /> All Contractors' employees shall comply with all Bay Area Air Quality regulations and City <br /> policies. All contractors shall comply with OSHA requirements regarding the proper use of <br /> Lockout/Tagout procedures. <br /> E-WASTE Collection <br /> E-waste includes, but is not limited to, central processing units (CPU), computer monitors, <br /> computer peripherals, televisions, consumer electronics containing circuit boards, stereos, <br /> televisions, video cassette recorders, digital clocks, CD/DVD players, telephones, cell phones, <br /> printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, pagers, pocket personal computers, personal digital <br /> assistants, MP3 players, and computer parts and accessories, keyboards and mice. <br /> The Contractor will collect the electronic waste, provide all labor, collection/storage units, <br /> supplies and equipment needed to manage all electronic waste materials accepted at the designated <br /> locations, package and transport the materials to a designated recycling facility, dismantle or <br /> arrange for the dismantling of each unit for recycling, and arrange for the recycling of each <br /> component parts. The Contractor will be responsible for providing safe disposal of electronic <br /> waste for the City of Pleasanton. <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for accurately preparing all paperwork required by the State <br /> for management of the e-waste. The City will issue a designation letter so the selected bidder is a <br /> Designated Approved Collector. The successful bidder shall provide a copy of the Bill of Lading <br /> and a certificate of recycling for each shipment with payment invoices. Contractor shall provide <br /> downstream chain of custody reports as applicable. <br /> Contractor is to assure that all materials considered hazardous under California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR), Title 22, Chapter I I, Appendix X, subsection(c), as amended, will remain <br /> within the United States until the waste has been processed to the point at which it can be <br /> considered a commodity ready for processing for feedstock in a new product. This requirement <br /> applies to all characteristic materials, including those with exemptions, such as circuit boards. <br /> To ensure integrity of the entire recycling chain, including downstream intermediaries and <br /> recovery operations such as smelters, the Contractor shall not utilize a company that is not in <br /> complete compliance with all applicable national, regional and/or local environmental and health <br /> and safety regulations. The City may ask for copies of invoices or bills of lading from Contractor. <br /> STREETS —Fence Installation and Repairs <br /> The City is requesting an experienced licensed contractor to perform routine fence <br /> installations and repairs. This work could be required on any City owned or operated property, <br /> including remote areas such as creeks or canals. All types of fencing could be required from <br /> chain link to wood, T post, etc. <br /> 6 <br />
