BACKGROUND <br /> The City and DSRSD own various small parcels of land on Johnson Court near <br /> Stoneridge Drive. Recently, DSRSD expressed interest in acquiring a 5,280 square foot <br /> City owned parcel which is located directly under the entrance gate to the DSRSD's <br /> regional wastewater treatment plant. Similarly, City staff expressed interest in acquiring a <br /> 5,525 square foot DSRSD owned parcel which will facilitate construction of the East <br /> Amador Relief Sewer (EARS) pump station. The EARS is a $4.8 million capital project <br /> included for funding in the City's 2011-12 and 20012-13 Capital Improvement Program <br /> (CIP) that will take flow off the East Amador Lift Station. Project need was first identified <br /> in 1988 and was determined to be a high priority in the 2007 Water Master Plan. <br /> Attachment 9 provides a summary of the CIP project.
