BACKGROUND <br /> In October 2011, a request for proposal (RFP) process was conducted to obtain <br /> qualified vendors to provide umpire services for the adult softball program. A total of <br /> two (2) proposals were received from the following organizations: <br /> • Mission Valley Sports Officials, Inc. <br /> • NSA of California <br /> After reviewing the proposals, staff determined that Mission Valley Sports Officials, Inc. <br /> was the most qualified firm based on its overall experience with providing umpire <br /> services including a thorough knowledge of the City's sport leagues. In addition, its bid <br /> and associated game fees were lower than NSA of California. Mission Valley Sports <br /> Officials, Inc. is located in Fremont, and has provided excellent service to the City of <br /> Pleasanton for several years.
