M&S Jabl 19639.010 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> 2.3 Design Submittal—Final—Plans,Specifications and Estimates <br /> Based on the approval of the 100%design plans, incorporate City and stakeholder design comments and <br /> develop the design PS&E documents including at a minimum: <br /> • Final design construction documents for: <br /> • Street and Drainage improvement plans <br /> • Signing and Striping Plan <br /> • Joint trench Utility relocation drawings <br /> • Detailed Traffic Signal designs <br /> • Final Landscape and Irrigation Plans including all associated installation details (including plans <br /> for improvements to the Hacienda Business Park entry feature) <br /> • Street Lighting <br /> + Final Water Quality Report <br /> • Conceptual traffic handling and construction phasing plan (to be refined with the selection of a <br /> contractor) <br /> • Final Specifications and Project Estimates from all disciplines. <br /> Deliverables: Final plans,project specifications, construction cost estimate, original mylar set of plans <br /> and specifications signed and sealed by the registered civil engineer, and an electronic version of the <br /> plans,specifications, and estimate. <br /> TASK 3—BID PERIOD <br /> During the bid process,the Consultant team will answer bidder's questions and provide clarifications to the <br /> design. During bidding,we will assist the City staff as follows: <br /> • Answer contractor bid questions and requests for information (RFI)of the design and/or <br /> construction documents,assume six(6) requests. <br /> • Prepare addenda/conform sets if needed. <br /> 5 Attend bid opening and assist City in review of the bids. <br /> • Analyze results of bids and provide recommendations to City on award of contracts. <br /> TASK 4—CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br /> During the construction process,the Consultant team will generally assist the City in construction <br /> administration services as follows: <br /> • Prepare for and attend one pre-construction conference (including the preparation of agendas and <br /> meeting minutes). <br /> • Make intermittent on-site visits to provide field consultation,observe general progress of <br /> construction work,to interpret the plans and specifications,and to offer advice to the City,assume <br /> six(6) site visits. <br /> • Answer contractor construction questions and requests for clarification(RFC)of the design and/or <br /> construction documents,assume six(6) requests. <br /> • Review shop drawings,submittals, progress payment requests and contract change order requests, <br /> assume six(6)each. <br /> P:\19639\off ice\contracts\2012-03-02_Mac Kay&Somps_Exhi b it-A.doc <br />
