Specifications, Terms & Conditions <br /> for Operation and Maintenance Services of Sewer and Water Systems <br /> o. Take water samples as required by the California Department of Health <br /> Services. (At this time, Department of Health Services, DHS, requires <br /> monthly samplings); <br /> P. Perform water analysis per established regulatory procedures; <br /> q. Provide data necessary for reporting water-quality test results; <br /> r. Preparation of water-quality reporting per established regulatory procedure; <br /> s. Read ten (10) County-maintained meters and a San Francisco Water <br /> Department (SFWD) meter at the source monthly; <br /> t. Respond to customer complaints regarding sewer problems to determine if <br /> the problem is with County maintained area or system. There are <br /> approximately 256 Residential Discharge Equivalents (RDE's) connected <br /> to the sewage system; <br /> u. Work closely with County in determining the work required; <br /> v. Supervise sub-contractors to confirm that the work performed meets the <br /> County's requirements; <br /> w. Clean the mains as authorized by the County; and <br /> x. Repair the mains as authorized by the County. <br /> 2. The monthly fee will not include the following expenses that will be paid directly <br /> by the County: <br /> a. Property taxes on County property or facilities, if any; <br /> b. Franchise and business taxes, if any; <br /> c. Electric and natural gas expenses for operating the system; <br /> d. Groundwater pump taxes, if any; <br /> e. Purchased water; <br /> f. Non-routine lab tests; <br /> g. Department of Health Services fees; <br /> Page 7 of 29 <br />
