Section 5-5.11 Additional Weight Prohibition. No person shall <br /> operate a commercial vehicle with a maximum gross weight <br /> in excess of 16,000 pounds on the following streets <br /> within the City of Pleasanton: <br /> <br /> a. Sunol Boulevard; <br /> b. First Street; and <br /> c. Stanley Boulevard. <br /> <br /> Section 5-5.12 Exceptions. <br /> <br /> a. Deliveries and Pickups. This article shall not <br /> prohibit any commercial vehicle from using this <br /> route when coming from an unrestricted street and <br /> using this route for ingress and egress by direct <br /> route to and from a restricted street when necessary <br /> for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of <br /> goods, wares or merchandise from or to any building <br /> or structure located on a restricted street or for <br /> the purpose of delivering materials to be used in <br /> the actual and bonafide repair, alterations, <br /> remodeling or construction of any building or <br /> structure upon the restricted street for which a <br /> building permit has previously been obtained. As <br /> used herein, a direct route shall mean the most <br /> feasible route from the closest unregulated street, <br /> consistent with the intent to minimize vehicles of <br /> over 16,000 pounds using the commercial routes <br /> designated in Section 5-5.11 as well as restricted <br /> streets. <br /> <br /> b. Certain Types of Vehicles. Vehicles of the type <br /> described in Section 5-5.03(b) of Article 1 of <br /> this chapter shall be exempt from the restrictions <br /> imposed by this article. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Effective Date of Ordinance. This ordinance shall <br /> take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its final <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3: Publication. This ordinance shall be published once <br /> within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIMES," <br /> a newspaper of general circulation, published in the <br /> City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on December 22, 1980. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on January 27, 1981 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~.~~.~./ <br />ABSTAIN: None ' <br /> KE <br /> · NNETH R.
