EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES E'RSI RESPONDER ADVANCED HIE SJPPORr AGREEMENT (REV 2/17/11) <br /> b. Request for an Exemption must be in writing, and received by the County EMS Director <br /> within ten (10) calendar days following the end of the month in which the event <br /> occurred. Response Time Exemptions may be granted by the County on a per call basis, <br /> following review and investigation by the County. Calls that are approved as an <br /> Exemption shall not be included in the calculations for Response Time compliance. Such <br /> requests must include all of the following: <br /> • Detailed description of the circumstances causing the response delay <br /> • Date and time of the occurrence <br /> • Dispatch agency name <br /> • Unit number <br /> • Originating location of responding unit <br /> • The request must include performance reports for the month in which the incident <br /> occurred and written documentation supporting the request. <br /> SECTION 6 - ADDITIONAL SERVICE PROVISION <br /> 6.1 5150 Response <br /> a. Contractor shall respond paramedic ALS level personnel to 5150 Calls dispatched as an <br /> Echo, Delta, or Charlie If MPDS is not used, Contractor shall respond a paramedic to all <br /> 5150 calls for medical clearance. <br /> b. If the patient does not require medical clearance at an emergency department, the <br /> Contractor may cancel the ALS ambulance and request through ACRECC, that a BLS <br /> ambulance from the County Contracted Private Provider transport the patient to the <br /> appropriate psychiatric facility, in accordance with County EMS Policies regarding <br /> psychiatric patient care. <br /> c. 5150 calls initially dispatched as Alpha or Bravo by County Dispatch Center will be <br /> responded to by the County Contracted Private Provider. Contractor is not required to <br /> respond to 5150 calls dispatched as Alpha or Bravo <br /> 6.2 Multi-Casualty Incident/Disaster Response <br /> a. Contractor shall cooperate with County in rendering emergency assistance during a <br /> declared or an undeclared disaster or Multi-Casualty Incident ("MCI"), in accordance <br /> with County EMS Policies. <br /> b. If County directs Contractor to respond to a disaster in an adjacent jurisdiction, fines for <br /> Response Times may be suspended, but only if authorized by the County EMS Director. <br /> Page 6 of 26 <br />
