ALVHS will also continue to assist in the evaluation and development of other non-school <br /> educational programs for both children and adults, i.e. Young Explorers, Ridge Runners and <br /> Environmental Education classes. City staff, along with ALVHS staff as appropriate, will be <br /> responsible for the implementation of these programs. There are a variety of potential <br /> opportunities to explore such as arts and crafts, technology, storytelling, genealogy work, <br /> history lectures, environmental awareness, and archeology basics, etc. <br /> ALVHS will continue to assist the City staff in developing docent training materials, initial <br /> training sessions, ongoing training and other volunteer administrative functions, as needed. <br /> Training materials will need to be updated annually as the sub-theme changes. ALVHS will also <br /> assist in the training sessions of the docents by actual presentations, finding and booking <br /> appropriate speakers and developing hand out materials for docent notebooks. ALVHS will be <br /> on call as needed to assist City staff with any issues related to volunteer management, including <br /> recruitment, retention, general volunteer orientation, volunteer evaluation and volunteer <br /> recognition. <br /> ALVHS Staff time: Director: 52 hours @ $26.45/hr $1,375 <br /> Education Director: 260 hours @ $21.25/hr $5,525 <br /> Curator: 26 hours @ $21.25/hr $ 550 <br /> Total $7,450 <br /> Changing Temporary Exhibits: <br /> ALVHS will continue to assist the City in finding appropriate temporary exhibitions that will <br /> enhance the visitor experience at the site, particularly in drawing visitors back to the site for <br /> multiple visits. Historic sites can often be seen as static and changing exhibitions helps to <br /> address this issue. ALVHS will recommend various exhibits from a variety of sources and assist <br /> in laying out a schedule for these short term exhibits. In addition, ALVHS will assist in the actual <br /> installation, deinstallation, monitoring and care of the exhibits while at the Adobe so that <br /> standard museum practices are followed and adhere to incoming/outgoing condition reports, <br /> object security, and incident reporting to the lending institution. There are a variety of sources <br /> that are not tapped such as the CA Dairy Council, SITES, Exhibits USA and the California <br /> Exhibition Resource Alliance.
