§1-3.32.20 Terms. <br /> <br /> (a) The public members of the Corf~l~ission shall serve <br /> staggered four (4) year terms. The existing <br /> appointments from the community-at-large are <br /> hereby reaffirmed and shall have their terms <br /> reflect their current expiration dates as shown <br /> below. <br /> <br /> (b) Two public Commissioner's terms and the alternate <br /> Commissioner's term shall expire on October 22, <br /> 1983. Three public Commissioners' terms shall <br /> expire on October 22, 1984. <br /> <br /> (c) The liaison Commissioners shall be nominated by <br /> their respective commissions for one year terms <br /> commencing on October 22 of each year subject to <br /> Council approval. The term of office of the three <br /> (3) liaison commissioners shall not extend beyond <br /> their term on the Commission they represent, <br /> <br /> §1-3.32.25 Alternate Member <br /> <br /> (a) The alternate member shall vote in the case of an <br /> absence or conflict of interest of any public <br /> commissioner. <br /> <br /> (b) The alternate member can serve as a voting member <br /> on any subcommittee of the Human Services Commission <br /> and may be designated as the tluman Services Commission <br /> representative to other boards and commissions. <br /> <br /> §1-3.32.30 Maintenance of Membership. Persons appointed to <br /> the Commission shall continue to serve as members of <br /> the Commission except that; <br /> <br /> (a) His/Her term of appointment to the Commission <br /> expires. <br /> <br /> (b) He/She voluntarily resigns from the Commission. <br /> <br /> (c) Absence from two (2) regular meetings within a <br /> six-month period without consent of the Chairperson. <br /> <br /> (d) Failure to maintain residence in the City. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of the secretary of the Commission <br /> to inform the Council when any of the above occurs. <br /> <br />§1-3.32.35 Vacancies. Vacancies on the Commission arising <br /> from the provisions of Section 1-3.32.30 shall be <br /> filled in accordance with the procedures set forth in <br /> Section 1-3.32.15 and shall be for the unexpired term. <br /> <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
