§1-3.32.40 Meetings. <br /> <br /> (a) Regular meetings shall be held monthly with time <br /> and place and date set by resolution of the Commission. <br /> <br /> (b) Special meetings may be called by the Chairperson, <br /> or any five (5) members of the Commission, provided <br /> written notice is given twenty-four (24) hours in <br /> advance of the special meeting to the following: <br /> each Commission member, local newspapers of general <br /> circulation, and anyone filing written request for <br /> notice with the City Clerk. Notice of meetings <br /> shall comply in all respects with Section 54950 et <br /> seq., of the Government Code, known commonly as <br /> the Ralph M. Brown Act. <br /> <br /> (c) All meetings shall be public; agendas shall be <br /> prepared; minutes of all meetings shall be kept <br /> and filed with the City Council, the City Manager/City <br /> Clerk, and the Director of Recreation and Human <br /> Resources. <br /> <br /> §1-3.32.45 Quorum and Voting. <br /> <br /> (a)Five (5) members present shall constitute a quorum <br /> for the transaction of business. <br /> <br /> (b) A majority vote of those present shall be required <br /> for any Commission action to be taken. <br /> <br /> §1-3.32.50 Officers. <br /> <br /> (a) The Commission, by majority vote, shall appoint <br /> for a term of one (1) year, a Chairperson and Vice <br /> Chairperson from among its members appointed from <br /> the community-at-large. <br /> <br /> (b) The Chairperson shall be responsible for the <br /> conduct of meetings, the preparation and approval <br /> of agendas, and other duties normally associated <br /> with a Chairperson. <br /> <br /> (c) The Vice Chairperson shall perform those duties <br /> assigned by the Chairperson and act for the Chair- <br /> person in the latter's absence. <br /> <br /> (d) No member of the Commission shall serve more than <br /> two successive full terms of one year as Chairperson <br /> of the Commission. <br /> <br /> (e) The Director of Recreation and Human Resources or <br /> his designated representative shall serve as <br /> Secretary to the Commission. <br /> <br /> -4- <br /> <br /> <br />
