• Through a financing and planning partnership with the City of Dublin and County of <br />Alameda Surplus Property Authority, enabled construction of a new West Dublin/ <br />Pleasanton BART station and expanded parking structure. <br />• Developed a comprehensive financing plan that enabled the construction of the Parkview <br />Assisted Living Facility, adjacent to the Senior Center. The facility includes 31 units for <br />very -low- income seniors (including 10 units for those with extremely low incomes). <br />• Approved a 350 -unit mixed -use apartment complex (WINDSTAR) with 20% affordability <br />adjacent to the future West Dublin /Pleasanton BART Station. <br />• Approved a 113 -unit single - family senior housing project on the Busch Property. <br />• Following 20 -years of negotiations, successfully acquired the Alameda County <br />Transportation Corridor to accommodate downtown parking for approximately 300 spaces <br />(at build -out) and trail improvements to accommodate bike /ped connections. <br />• The Happy Valley Blue Ribbon Committee, created by the City Council, in conjunction with <br />City staff, developed a majority recommendation on a new alignment for the Happy Valley <br />Bypass Road. <br />• Continued the process of investigating options for the potential redevelopment of Kottinger <br />Place senior apartments and possibly the adjacent Pleasanton Gardens senior apartments. <br />The City entered into a contract with a non - profit affordable housing developer to provide <br />pre - development consultant services. <br />• Continued the partnership with the City of Dublin and EBRPD on the design and ultimate <br />construction of the Alamo Canal Trail Extension (under 1-580, near Hilton Hotel). <br />• Codified residential and commercial Green Building Standards. <br />• Managed all long -term planning objectives related to Staples Ranch, including <br />consideration of the Staples Ranch Specific Plan, EIR /SEIR, individual PUD applications, <br />community and neighborhood park master plans and settlement discussions related to the <br />Center for Biological Diversity. The project will considered by the full City Council in early <br />2010. <br />• Worked in partnership with the Economic Vitality Committee to complete a new Economic <br />Development Strategic Plan. <br />• Approved a new fee program for new residential development to defer city impact fees until <br />such time occupancy approved. This deferral enables the developer to pay fees in phases <br />based on project completion. <br />• Approved a new program for commercial development that allows building permits to be <br />obtained and paid in phases based on project completion <br />3 <br />
