Title 24, Parts 1 and 6 (Standards). Compliance with the 2008 California Building <br /> Energy Efficiency Standards is required, even if the increased minimum energy <br /> efficiency standards specified in this chapter do not apply. <br /> With respect to the Tier l energy efficiency requirements set forth in this section: <br /> 1. The permit applicant shall demonstrate that a buildings covered by this ordinance <br /> uses at least 15.0% less time- dependent valuation (TDV) energy than the 2008 <br /> Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards "budget" building; and shall not <br /> be required to perform or submit calculations that demonstrate any specified <br /> reduction in CO2 emissions. <br /> 2. In calculating the %- better - than - Title -24 in Nonresidential projects, the TDV <br /> energy of the Process and Receptacle energy use components is omitted in both <br /> the proposed and "budget" designs. <br /> 3. In calculating the %- better - than - Title -24 in High -rise Residential projects, the <br /> TDV energy of the Process, Receptacle energy use components, and Lighting <br /> energy use in residential spaces, is omitted in both the proposed and "budget" <br /> designs. <br /> 4. No appliance efficiency requirements referenced in this ordinance shall violate <br /> the current version of the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act <br /> (NAECA). <br /> 5. All buildings submitted for permit shall meet all applicable requirements of the <br /> California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 6. <br /> F. A new Section 306.1.2 is added to provide: "As an alternative to achieving Tier 1 <br /> requirements, a project may instead achieve compliance through: (i) the U. S. Green <br /> Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED); (ii) Build <br /> It Green (BIG)'s GreenPoint rating system; or (iii) another recognized and approved <br /> organization. Such equivalent certification to Tier 1 requirements will occur upon <br /> provision of a certification of compliance to the City from the applicable organization, <br /> approved by the City, which must occur prior to final building approval or occupancy." <br /> G. Appendix A4 of CALGreen is amended to delete the word "voluntary ", and replace it <br /> with the words "Tier 1"; and delete all references to Tier 2 and Tier 2 requirements. <br /> H. Appendix A5 of CALGreen is amended to delete the word "voluntary ", and replace it <br /> with the words "Tier 1"; and delete all references to Tier 2 and Tier 2 requirements. <br /> 20.26.25 Sections 4.106.2., 4.106.3, 5.106.1, A5.106 - Site Development and Storm Water. <br /> CALGreen Sections 4.106.2, 4.106.3, 5.106.1 and A5.106 are amended to read: Design <br /> storm water provisions in conformance with Municipal Code Chapter 9.14 Stormwater <br /> Management and Discharge Control, or any other requirements in effect at the time of application. <br /> Green Building / CALGreen Exhibit I Page 4 of 5 <br />
