Additional Recommendations Resulting from the Final EIR <br /> <br />8. Modify Policy 25D on page 28 of the Specific Plan to read: <br /> <br />"D. Prepare detailed channel/habitat restoration and <br /> enhancement plans for project impact areas that retain or <br /> enhance existing channel hydraulic capaci.tF. " <br /> <br />9. Modify Policy 18 on page 36 of the Specific Plan to read: <br /> <br />"Amend the Transportation Demand Management Ordinance to <br />enable the PDA to function as a 'large employer' and, therefore, to <br />establish and promote a TDM program for Downtown businesses <br />and employees. Investigate and pursue funding options which will <br />encourage and enable the PDA to actively promote such a <br />program, using incentives to reduce vehicular traffic commuting <br />into the Downtown." <br /> <br />10. Modify Policy 12 on page 65 of the Specific Plan to read: <br /> <br />"Promote the use of 'green building' principles (i.e., sustainable <br />sites, water efficiency, energy efficient)5 materials and resources, <br />and indoor environmental quality) which decrease resource <br />consumption and improve livability while meeting the high design <br />standards for Downtown. Also, new development must comply <br />with aH future City standards relating to 'green building' and <br />enerL,~ efT~cienc¥. " <br /> <br />11. Add the following Policy 32 on page 30 of the Specific Plan to read: <br /> <br />"The City shall require construction activities to occur between <br />hours to be determined by the Planning Department based upon <br />the sensitivity of surrounding land uses, and the need to minimize <br />construction vehicle traffic and streetwork during peak traffic <br />periods." <br /> <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
