<br />Phil Serna, Donna Ker2er. Bob Patrino, Planning Commissioners, City of San <br />Ramon <br />. The City is currently updating its General Plan. The Northwest Specific Plan <br />will come before the Commission, including housing, open space, parks, <br />which may be a lengthy and controversial process. The Crow Canyon Specific <br />Plan will also be part of the review process. <br />. The proposed Telecommunications Ordinance was being discussed. <br />. San Ramon does not have a well-defined downtown, compared to the other <br />Tri- Valley cities, but it is a highly regarded planning subject among the <br />general public. There was much discussion regarding an II-acre site <br />straddling the north and south sides of Bollinger Canyon Road near the <br />Marketplace, near the south end of Bishop Ranch Business Park. There has <br />been a lot of interest from the residents and the City. <br /> <br />Darryl West, Planning Commissioner, City of Livermore <br />. The Downtown Plan was being evaluated and updated. Between 200-300 <br />people attended a series of public meetings. <br />. The Downtown Livermore Valley Center and both performing arts centers <br />were moving forward in their development stages. <br />. Significant progress was being made on moving Highway 84 off First Street, <br />even prior to completing the interchange on 1-580. The interchange is still a <br />few years distant, and the character of downtown will be changed. <br />. City Hall has been refurbished. <br />. The new library is under construction, and should be completed in 2003. <br />. The new Robert Livermore Community Center is under construction on East <br />Avenue. It will contain a variety of community and recreational activities, and <br />is eagerly awaited. <br />. The City recently approved the construction of a three story parking structure <br />near the Ace Train station. It will also serve downtown, where more <br />pedestrian traffic was anticipated. <br />. The Health Care Center and Senior Facility is currently under construction. <br />. Many of the development standards that have been established for the South <br />Livermore Valley Specific Plan were coming to fruition. <br />. The Livermore vineyards have become a regional destination for outside <br />visitors, which is an exciting development for the City. <br /> <br />Mariorie Leider, Planning Commissioner, City of Livermore <br />. In the General Plan Update process, it was determined that here was excess <br />land zoned Industrial and Commercial near the airport. <br />.
