r Commissioner Arkin stated he understands the concerns of the neighbors, but he does not agree. He stated that he completely agrees with the analogy regarding power cables, because he has seen data to show the issue of the power cables, but he personally has not seen any data related to cellular antennas. Commissioner Arkin stated that he doesn't see any harm from a technical perspective, and some people would see value in having a home close to an antenna. Chairperson Maas advised that she will support the motion, noting that the applicant is abiding by the ordinance. She asked if staff has considered when the ordinance might be reviewed. Mr. Iserson noted that it would be a good idea to go back and review the ordinance to see if the field has changed to the extent where it may affect the ordinance. Also, there is a built-in review period in the ordinance, which staff with check. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS a. PDR-244, BahmaD Tehrani Application for design review approval for new building colors and new awnings and to re-face an existing projecting sign for a building located at 500 Main Street. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District, Downtown Revitalization District. Jerry Iserson presented the staff report, noting that the applicant has provided color elevations for the Planning Commission's review which show the building colors, awning colors, and proposed signage. Mr. Iserson provided an overview of the colors. He noted that staff is satisfied with the colors and signage, finds them to be consistent with the Downtown Design Guidelines, and recommends approval per the conditions in the staff report. In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Sullivan, Mr. Iserson advised that the neon tubes in the cornice was previously denied by the Commission, - Commissioner Arkin inquired whether all of the work on the windows has been completed, with the exception ofthe painting. He advised that the window on the left has not yet been lengthened. Mr. Iserson explained that the work on the other windows is complete, but there is still an issue with the last window because a restroom is located behind that window and the applicant is working with staff to find a way to resolve the problem.
