Extension for Tentative Tract Map 7176, Mardel LLC
Application to allow a one-year extension of the tentative map approval for a
twelve-lot residential subdivision located at 4456 Foothill Road. Zoning for the
property is PUD-RDR/LDR (Planned Unit Development-Rural Density
Residential/Low Density Residential) and West Foothill Road Corridor Overlay
District.

Mr. Swift summarized the staff report. Staff complimented Mardel on the most recent
map, particularly after working with three very contentious neighbors. Staff
recommended approval of the one year extension of the tentative map approval.

In response to Commissioner Kameny's question, Mr. Swift confirmed that there had
been no changes in the project.

THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED.

There were no speakers.

THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.

r-

Commissioner Arkin supported this plan.

Commissioner Arkin moved to approve the Extension for Tentative Tract Map 7176
as recommended by staff. Commissioner Kameny seconded the motion.

Commissioner Sullivan advised that he had not supported this proposal from its
inception. He believed that the five conditions were good, but he objected to any more
housing west of Foothill Road, and believed that there was not shortage of million dollar
houses in Pleasanton.

ROLL CALL VOTE

AYES:
NOES:
ABSTAIN:
ABSENT:

Commissioners Arkin, Kameny, Maas, and Roberts
Commissioner Sullivan
None
None

Resolution No. PC-2002-42 was entered and adopted as motioned.

r

PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

July 10, 2002

Page 19
