PUD-80-16-19D & 11M, Providian Bancorp Application for development plan approval and a major modification to PUD-80-16 to allow the construction of a three-story, 90,000-square-foot building on the Providian Bancorp campus located at 4940 Johnson Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O (Industrial/Commercial-Office) District. The Planning Commission will also consider the negative declaration prepared for the project. Continued to August 8, 2001. b. PCUP-33, Michael Denu Application for a conditional use permit to establish a cocktail lounge in a portion of an existing building located at 780 Main Street (formerly Coffee Roast Express). The proposed hours of operation would be 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., seven days a week. The proposal would also include karaoke on Wednesday nights and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial), Downtown Revitalization District. -- Continued indefinitely. 7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Kameny advised that he agrees with Commissioner Arkin that he would like to see as many of the PUD approvals that are being considered for rescission before the Planning Commission as soon as possible, and that he would like them to be placed on the agenda when there are not a lot of other items on the agenda. Commissioner Kameny thanked Mr. Jost for the communication from Bill van Gelder regarding the striping of Main Street near Del Valle Parkway. In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Harvey regarding the continuance ofthe Providian building, Mr. Pavan advised that staff is working with the applicant on traffic mitigation issues. In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Arkin regarding the status of the Madden hotel construction, Mr. Pavan advised that he would check with the project planner and report back to the Commission.
