MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S INFORMATION <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Maas advised that she attended a meeting this week for parties interested in <br />operating the golf course. She advised that interviews will be held with perspective operators. <br />Ms. Seto advised that the process is to get the operator involved now, so the operator will be able <br />to provide input in particular items involving the golf course construction. She further advised <br />that all of the environmental permits have been obtained and staffis working with consultants to <br />prepare an update on the cost of the golf course. She noted that the golf course construction is <br />still dependent on the annexation, which is scheduled for December. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Arkin, Vice Chairperson Maas advised that the <br />next meeting of the Housing Element Update Task Force is scheduled for August 2, and there is <br />nothing new to report since the last meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Harvey asked what the plan is for the process to review the "Draft Compact for a <br />Sustainable Bay Area." Mr. Pavan advised that Ms. Grant had requested feedback on the <br />evaluation form provided. He noted that the Commissioners as individual members of the public <br />could comment directly.
