REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Item 6.b., PUD-80-16-19D & 11M, Providian Bancorp, was continued to August 8, 2001, and <br />Item 6.c., PCUP-33, Michael Denu, was continued indefinitely. Commissioner Arkin <br />recommended that Item 8.d., "Draft Compact for a Sustainable Bay Area," be continued until <br />Commissioner Sullivan is present. The Planning Commission concurred with this <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />5. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br />There were none. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />a. Rescind the development plan approval (PUD-85-5) for a four-story approximately <br />66.000-sQuare-foot office buildinl! on an approximately 2.8-acre site located on the <br />south side of Johnson Drive, easterly ofthe Hilton Hotel. Zoninl! for the property is <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development) - ICO (IndustriaIlCommerciaIlOffices) District. <br /> <br />Mr. Pavan noted that at a previous meeting the Planning Commission directed staff to initiate the <br />process to rescind this PUD approval. He advised that staff is recommending that the Planning <br />Commission forward this item to the City Council with the recommendation the PUD <br />development plan approval be rescinded. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Harvey, Mr. Pavan advised that Cal Trans has <br />acquired portions of this site in conjunction with the 1-580/1-680 fly-over construction, and, <br />therefore, it is questionable as to whether this project could be built in accordance with the <br />approved plan. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />No one spoke. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Maas asked if staff would continue to bring old PUD approvals forward for the <br />Planning Commission's consideration to rescind the approvals. Mr. Pavan advised that the <br />Commission has directed staff to look at the old PUD's and bring them forward to the <br />Commission for action. There was discussion about the scheduling of future items which are <br />being considered for rescission. Commissioner Arkin noted that he would like to see one item <br />each month, or at the least, one per quarter. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kameny moved to recommend that the development plan approval for Case <br />PUD-85-5 be rescinded.
