Presentation of the proposed Vineyard Avenue roundabouts and Neal School plan and <br />possible comments to the PUSD <br /> <br />Jeff Knowles, Deputy Director of Public Works/Transportation made a presentation on traffic <br />roundabouts. He advised that the proposal for roundabouts is a slight change to the original plan <br />for the development of the new Vineyard Avenue. He presented information regarding the size, <br />design, and advantages of roundabouts. He showed the proposed location of the roundabouts in <br />relationship to the proposed school site. Mr. Knowles presented a simulation of the morning <br />traffic delays with the traffic signal and the flow of traffic with roundabouts. The Planning <br />Commission discussed pedestrian and bicyclist use in conjunction with the roundabouts. <br /> <br />Brian Swift presented the conceptual site plan for the Joshua Neal Elementary School. He noted <br />that the grading plan is not depicted in the plans that have been distributed. He provided <br />information on the site, the plan, the loop road, parking, and circulation.
