SloanVAZQUEz, ,, <br />The completed questionnaire, the onsite visits, and the interviews are the basis for our assessment and <br />evaluation of the operation. Open communications by all parties is essential for the success of this <br />project. Telephone calls and emails are expected to be a regular part of this project. All the information <br />and data is evaluated and analyzed using a variety of tools. A final report will be submitted to conclude <br />the project. <br />Below are the Tasks required to complete the Scope of Work as identified in the RFP, followed by more <br />detailed approach to be taken by Sloan Vazquez personnel. <br />Task 1: Review residential and commercial weekly collection activities <br />Sloan Vazquez personnel will review PCS's routing, scheduling, personnel staffing, collection vehicle <br />inventory, utilization, maintenance, replacement, and disposal processing. <br />Subtask 1 -A: Routing and Scheduling - Efficiency of Collection Operations <br />• Determine Collection routes statistics; <br />o Establish overall units serviced; <br />o Identify units per route; <br />o Identify equipment used; <br />o Identify level of Supervision; <br />o Evaluate Routing software; <br />o Evaluate current routing procedures (When was routing last completed? How <br />frequently adjusted ?). <br />• Review late set out procedures; <br />• Determine use of extra routes for service issues; <br />• Evaluate the sufficiency of driver pools and staffing; <br />• Review and evaluate Routes consistently unable to finish on time; <br />• Evaluate the adequacy of Equipment levels; <br />• Evaluate Vehicle Maintenance based on daily VCRs submitted by drivers. <br />Subtask 1 -B: Personnel - Overall Organizational Structure and Management Systems & Procedures <br />• Obtain an overall understanding Organizational Structure and Staff by reviewing <br />o Organizational Structure; <br />o Department Heads; <br />o Managers; <br />o Supervisors; <br />o Support Staff; <br />o Direct Labor. <br />• Identify and Document Staffing details <br />o Number of each staff; <br />Prepared for the City of Pleasanton Revised Scope of Work & Fee Schedule to Provide Consultant <br />November 26, 2010 Services Related to Refuse and Recycling Services <br />4 <br />
