She advised that the program
provides grants of up to $5,000 for basic health and safety repairs and loans of up to $35,000 for
larger repairs and replacement. The program's purpose is to preserve the supply of existing
affordable housing by making the homes safe and functional. Twelve
mobile home grants and five home repair grants were provided during the past year.
Neighborhood Solutions collaborated with Tri- Valley Senior Support to help members of the
aging population make necessary repairs and also the Rotary Club to make a presentation about
the program, which resulted in several new inquiries.
Additional information about this program was provided to Commissioners by Mr. Erickson and
Ms. Johnson.
Open Heart Kitchen /Hot Meals for Low - Income Residents (Linda McKeever) — thanked the
Commission for the funding support received for the Hot Meal Program for Low - Income
Residents.
